FULL-TIME STUDENT (FTS)

Attends weekly lessons with no breaks except for the official RNM holiday schedule. FTS status enjoys monthly rates, applicable discounts, and lesson banking.

PART-TIME STUDENT (PTS)

PTSs do not attend a full month of lessons, with breaks or vacations that are in addition to the official RNM holiday schedule. PTS status will be charged by the week (payable at the beginning of the month). Discounts and lesson banking do not apply to FTS status.

PAYMENT

  • Lesson payments are due NO LATER than the first lesson of the month.
  • Initial lessons beginning mid-month will have a prorated balance due.
  • Cash, Check, ZellePay.com (use my.lessons@rightnotesmusic.com as the payment address), or Apple Pay are acceptable forms of payment.

Please note: PayPal, Venmo, or GooglePay are NOT acceptable payment options.

  • **No Refunds**

CANCELLATION AND MISSED LESSONS

  • A 24-hour cancellation notice is required by phone or text, or the student will be charged for the entire missed lesson.
  • Please see Lesson Banking.
  • Lessons begin promptly, late arrivals may lose lesson time.
  • Not only is it good practice to be on time for lessons, but it is also imperative to stay on schedule for the sake of maintaining on-time lessons.

SCHEDULING

  • Students must commit to scheduling at least one lesson per week.
  • The day and time agreed to for lessons are reserved for each student. IF a need arises where a particular lesson needs to be rearranged, and that can be accommodated, subject to my calendar, I will do whatever I can to help you make up your lesson. If there is no alternative day or time, that lesson *may* be banked.
  • If *I* need to reschedule or cancel a lesson, I will do what I can to reschedule to your convenience, bank the lesson, or, if other accommodations can not be agreed upon, I will *refund the lesson.
  • Should you decide to suspend taking lessons, a one-month notice is kindly requested. Any grandfathered price or scheduling status will expire after one month.
  • 30 or 45-minute lessons are available for purchase by the month.

LESSON BANKING

  • Lessons missed or canceled (with at least a 24-hour notice) for any reason shall be banked for future use (for Full-Time Student status).
  • Lessons canceled without at least a 24-hour notice shall not be “banked.”
  • Up to 3 (three) lessons may be banked at one time.
  • Banked lessons will expire after 90 (ninety) days.
  • Banked lessons shall NOT be used instead of payment for future months.

NO SHOWS

When a student fails to show up for a lesson without notice or timely communication, it will be considered a “no-show.” No Shows are not eligible for Lesson Banking or a refund.

BREAKS

I kindly ask that students who wish to suspend lessons for a short time give me a 30-day notice, with an expected return date. A timely notice gives me a heads-up to try and make up for that student’s absence and guarantees the same schedule upon their return.

Students who take breaks without adequate notice may not be guaranteed their preferred lesson slot—if at all—upon their return.

“SNOW DAYS”

çne-off in-studio lesson. Your online status rate will remain the same with no monetary adjustment.

REFERRAL REWARD PROGRAM

Small businesses depend upon word-of-mouth, particularly during these unusual times. As a way of showing my appreciation for referrals, I will offer one free lesson for every referred student who signs up for two months of lessons. After the 2nd month has been paid, I will deduct the cost of one lesson from your next month’s invoice. There is no limit.

*Rewards are offered to current students and are not exchangeable for any other type of payment.

RNM Holiday Schedule 2024

Invoice rates will get prorated and adjusted accordingly if a scheduled lesson (or lessons) falls on or during a listed RNM holiday period.

Please note: 5-week months with observed holidays/breaks will not be prorated if there are 4 weeks of lessons available.
